Mrs. Rousell’s English classes presented their long awaited TED Talks!

The driving question of the project was simple, yet extremely difficult: “What matters to you?”
Each student picked their own topic to create a thesis around and find evidence for. A focus of this project was to be able to make an opinionated claim and support it with evidence that follows a logical thought process in order to present, and explain, their claims to others. Students worked extremely hard on their presentations and knew their topics well enough to present to their entire class, and additional audience members, without a script.

The topics students picked were very creative and unique to their own personalities, experiences, hobbies, or life goals. They ranged from being adopted, why every kid is not a winner, how to not get hussled, and getting out of your comfort zone.
